Admission Notice for the Session 2014-15

• It is hereby notified for all concerned that the forms for admission to the 1st year BA, B.Sc & B.Com (Hons. & General) Courses for academic session 2014-15 will be available from the cash counter of the college against the payment of Rs. 100/- per form on and from 5th June, 2014 and it will continue upto 13th June ,2014 (both days inclusive except Saturdays and Gazetted Holidays) from 11.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m


• Application forms may also be downloaded from website of the college , viz., www.bangabasi.org, from 5th June 2014 up to 13th June, 2014 till 3 p.m. The prescribed charges for the downloaded application form, viz. Rs. 100/-, has to be deposited at the college cash counter within 13th June 2014 up to 3.30 p.m.


• Completed application forms for Honours candidates shall be accepted on and from 9thJune, 2014 upto 16th June, 2014 (both days inclusive except Saturdays and Gazetted Holidays) between 11.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.


• General course candidates (with valid and completed forms) are entitled to direct admission on and from the dates as shown below, as per the requisite criteria, till the availability of seats, purely on ‘first come first served’ basis in B.A Course : on 2nd July, 2014 (from 11.30 am) and for B.Sc & B.Com streams: on 3rd July, 2014 (from 11.30 am).


• Direct Admission of SC / ST/OBC ( A & B ) candidates for General courses shall also be made on the basis of C.U. norms on and from the dates as shown below, as per the requisite criteria, till the availability of seats, purely on ‘first come first served’ basis in B.A Course : on 2nd July, 2014 (from 11.30 am) and for B.Sc & B.Com streams: on 3rd July, 2014 (from 11.30 am).


• Cost of application forms, including the downloaded forms, is Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only per form).


• Only the photocopies of Class XII Mark sheet & SC/ST/OBC (A & B ) certificates issued by the competent Authority (as per Govt. Rules) (wherever necessary) are required to be submitted along with the completed application form. No other documents are required.


• The 1st Merit List for the Honours Candidates will be published on 26th June 2014 at 2 p.m. The subsequent Merit List, if required, will be published later on.

B.A. Honours

* Aggregate marks means the sum of marks obtained in best scored four subjects in (+2) stage Exam as per CU Norms; Any application not satisfying the Admission criteria is liable to be cancelled.

** CU Norms : 50% in Aggregate with 45% in Subject Or, 55% in Subject or in related Subjects Or, 50% in Aggregate if the subject or related subject is not included in previous qualifying Exam;

***The Candidates may also apply for B.Sc (Hons.) in Economics with subject combinations : Political Science & Mathematics as two other general subjects at undergraduate level.

***The Candidates may also apply for B.Sc (Hons.) in Psychology with subject combinations : Anthropology, Chemistry/Botany

B.Com Honours

* Aggregate marks means the sum of marks obtained in best scored four subjects in (+2) stage Exam as per CU Norms

B.Sc Honours Course
